What Due Desk stores about you
In plain words, and nothing more than is needed to show you your school updates.
What we store
The people who run Due Desk do not look at any of this. Their Admin page shows only counts and statuses, such as how many children an account has and whether the last refresh worked. It never shows your items, attachments, children's names or passwords.
- Your email address.
- Your Due Desk password, only as a one-way scrambled value (a hash). We cannot read it.
- Your school portal username, and your school portal password in encrypted form. Due Desk needs the password to sign in to the school portal for you.
- Your children's names as the school portal shows them, and the names you choose for them.
- The assignments, circulars and notifications fetched from the school portal, and the files attached to them.
- When you refreshed, and whether it worked.
- Feedback you send with "Share feedback" is emailed to the people who run Due Desk, together with your email address so they can reply. The message, and any screenshots you attach, are not saved in Due Desk.
Please know
The saved school password is encrypted. That is why access is by invitation only, and why you can remove it at any time (below).
We never show your school password back to you or to anyone in the app, and we do not write passwords or personal details into our logs.
Your choices
- Export your data as a ZIP file from Settings.
- Disconnect the school portal from Settings: your saved school login is deleted and automatic refresh stops.
- Delete your account and all your data from Settings. Your account is removed straight away. Older nightly backup copies are deleted automatically within 7 days.
